Happy Mothers' Day!

Woke up this morning telling mother, "Happy Mother's Day!" and kissed her on the cheek. I'm always a bit grumpy when dealing with my Mom, but even when she won't notice, I love her to death! I have always been not that close to my mother, compared to those who share their secrets with their mom and then hug her every time even without reason.
When my mother tells jokes about me and when I don't like it, I would immediately raise my voice as if she isn't my mother - and that I have to change. I should respect and love her. Even our Lord Jesus Christ, loved his mother and honored her. We'd usually attend Mass at Robinsons' Place and have lunch after. Last Sunday though, father's gone for Davao to join a Bowling Tournament. So it's just me and mother. For lunch, we had lasagna and pizza at Greenwich.
So that Sunday marked the countdown for next Sunday's Mother's Day, which was today. Now on what happened today, it was just a casual Sunday for us. We went to attend the Mass and went for groceries at MS, had lunch at Cindy's and went to the market in Tacloban. You see, my mother is a part-time party and event caterer. We have a good amount of catering facility for a few hundreds. Her catering team, our family, my aunts and uncles, cousins, and a few family friends are responsible for the food. So it's not obvious why I love food so much, because even if there ain't no professional chef on our bloodline, my family can cook like the best.

I was planning of buying a card for my mum but we were so busy that I had no time buying it, because I wanted to surprise her, not buy a card when she's looking. So a part of me was like "Why are we so busy? I can't buy a card for you Ma!" I'm really not much of a romantic person, but I really wanted to change this part of me and be one. I want to show my parents how much I love them and how much I need them. I watched this video a year ago, and this really touched me. It's like the letter was actually for me. If you think your parents aren't that important on your life watch this, and you would really change your mind.

Deuteronomy 5:16 ESV "Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you in the land that the LORD your God is giving you."

Happy Mothers' Day and Glory to God! :)
